Insignificance

We,

Guests in passing,

Borrowing time on this rock,

Insignificant,

We,

Our own story,

Capturing moments,

Living,

Then we’re not,

 

Her power,

She, 

Insurmountable to all,

The mountains,

The oceans,

The forests,

The deserts,

A collective of life,

Our life,

Without her wisdom together we fall,

 

Our greed,

Our need,

We take what’s not ours,

No remorse,

No shame,

But this too shall pass,

 

Our unsustainable actions, 

The choices we made,

Change is upon us,

Together,

As one,

The scars will fade,

 

Our Earth now breathes freely,

Our oceans alive,

Forests are growing,

Life around us beginning to thrive,

A little respect,

For we are merely a guest,

Our time on this rock,

Borrowed,

Living with gratitude, 

Together we are blessed.
